This blog, written by a progressive who still hopes for change, seeks to persuade readers that the progressive agenda has been put on hold until 2016 except that by electing Ron Paul in 2012, we end endless wars and bring troops home to eventually have resources to build the peaceful green economy.
If it comes down to Obama vs Romney (95% probability imo) I will not vote. I am tired of voting because I feel like I'm in a hostage situation and I will not do it any longer.
Sterling, Your position is becoming more and more tenable in my eyes as I look at the prefabricated political process we have. I really wish Ron Paul would team up with Bernie Sanders and name a coalition cabinet of equal numbers of libertarians and progressives and present a plan to: 1.)Lower the tax burden for the vast majority of Americans while slightly increasing the burden on the super wealthy 2.) End all military foreign occupations 3.) Use half of the money gained from the 2 previous items to pay down debt and half to fund modernization and greening of our transportation, communication, energy, and education infrastructure.
I will not vote for a corporatist warmonger who should have been impeached by now, regardless of where he moves. I may or may not vote for Paul.
